I would like to thank EVERYONE, our concom members, their staff, our wonderful volunteers and especially each and every one of you who came out to see us this weekend for giving us a GREAT convention!

Looking forward, as seen in our pack-in postcards, Michael and Paul Bielaczyc are our Artist Guests of Honor and Toni Weisskopf of Baen Books is our Editor Guest of Honor for MidSouthCon 32, and we have many more announcements to make in the future. For now, however, the concom is going to take a short break, but keep checking www.midsouthcon.org for details on next year's convention, which will be March 21-23, 2014! I hope to see everyone there!

2013 Darrell Award Winners

The WINNERS for the 2013 Darrell Award have been posted at the Darrell Awards website. The Darrell Awards promote MidSouth literacy by recognizing the best published Science Fiction, Fantasy and/or Horror in Short Story, Novella, Novel, Young Adult & Other Media formats. They are named after one of the founders of MidSouth fandom, Darrell Richardson. Our primary focuses are literacy and education. To that end, we have held an annual convention in Memphis, TN for over two decades hosting numerous authors, editors, scientists, and artists. We also hold a free writers' conference with workshops by award winning authors and editors.
