Con News
As you can see, we have started ramping up for MidSouthCon 30 and already have a fantastic lineup of guests. We are returning to the Memphis Hilton in the heart of East Memphis for the second year in a row!
For you Star Wars fans out there, we have Michael Stackpole, author of the popular X-Wing series of books for our Author Guest of Honor and Joe Corroney, artist for numerous Star Wars comics, magazines, cards, books and more as well as other properties like Buffy the Vampire Slayer is our Comics Guest of Honor. In other literary pursuits, Cat Rambo is our Editor Guest of Honor.
If you like your art a little on the weird side, we have the wonderfully macabre work of Steven C. Gilberts who is this year's Artist Guest of Honor.
For the "generation Lost in Space" (with apologies to Don McClean), Mark Goddard and Marta Kristen - Major Don West and Judy Robinson of Lost in Space are our Media Guests of Honor, while theoretical astrophysicist and professor Ethan Siegel is our Science Guest of Honor.
And last, but certainly not least, we have longtime MidSouthCon friend Allan Gilbreath as our Toastmaster for this year.
With over 175+ hours of programming, an incredible art show and art auction, our charity auction, more gaming than you can shake a stick at and much, much more, we have lot planned for this 30th convention. Register now for early bird discounts, apply for dealer spaces if you've got something to sell or request to run a game.
One thing that we can never say enough is one of the main reasons that makes our con so special is the people that help put it on, and we could not accomplish what we do without our con committee members and our volunteers. If you'd like to get more directly involved with the convention, feel free to come to our concom meetings held at the Benjamin J Hooks Library (aka the Central Library or "the main library"), 3030 Poplar just east of Amro's Music or sign up to be a volunteer.
Thank you for your interest in MidSouthCon and we look forward to seeing everyone next March. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
