J. L. Mulvihill

J L is currently working on the second novel, Elsindai. Her short stories, A Real Dragon and Magic in The Ozarks, are featured in Memories and Dreams by The Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs, AR. Jen’s Spicy Crawfish Bisque, appears in It’s All About Food With a Mississippi Twist. J L assisted in the publication of this book through the Clinton Ink-Slingers. Both books are nonprofit with proceeds going toward scholarships in the arts. J L has written several articles as the Jackson Literature Examiner with Examiner.com and is an events coordinator for the Mississippi Chapter of Imagicopter. She is a member of the SCBWI, the GCWA, the MWG, as well as the Arts Council of Clinton, The Clinton Ink-Slingers Writing Group, and The JavaInk Jotters.

Mission

Our primary focuses are literacy and education. To that end, we have held an annual convention in Memphis, TN for over two decades hosting numerous authors, editors, scientists, and artists. We also hold a free seminar for educators and librarians, a writers' conference with workshops by award winning authors and editors, and annual student art and writing contests.

MidSouthCon is presented by Mid-South Science and Fictions Conventions Inc. a non-profit type 501(c)(3) Corporation. Donations are welcome (and are tax deductible).
