MidsouthCon offers one of the largest arenas of Programming, with Panel Discussions and Workshops in:
At MidSouthCon we really take pride in our programming. We have an average of over 120 hours of programming in multiple tracks during the Con (and that's not counting the Video Room, Anime Room or gaming tracks). This year we are expanding our programming and will have more tracks than ever before.
We will have panels or presentations on Science, Education, Space, Gaming, Fandom, Comics, Anime, Costuming, Movies, SCA, Art, Writing, and much more. We will post specifics as we get closer to the convention. If you have an idea for a panel that you would like to see at MidSouthCon, send your suggestion to
Always a staple of MidSouthCon's programming, our judged costume contest has expanded and improved.
Once again we will have a Saturday Night Midnight Dance Party.
MidSouthCon's video room starts showing films early on Friday and runs 24 hours a day until late Sunday afternoon.
We show a fun mix of science fiction, fantasy, and other genre features, along with shorts, and other interesting stuff. And of course we have the traditional midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
If you have any requests or questions about our video room please feel free to contact us at:
Join the guests for our traditional Sunday Kaffeeklatsches (space is very limited, so sign up early).
These Awards are presented by the Darrell Awards Jury in association with Memphis Science and Fiction Conventions, Inc to promote literacy in the Mid-South by recognizing the best published local science fiction, fantasy, and horror. For more information check out the Darrell Awards home site.
Have dinner with our guests at an all you can eat buffet in the hotel banquet hall on Saturday.
MidSouthCon's annual Charity Auction Benefiting SFWA Emergency Medical Fund and other good causes.
No Convention would be complete without autograph sessions with the attending guests, and we will have them scheduled at various times throughout the Con.
The Children's Programming at MidSouthCon has been a great success, and once again we will have a dedicated Children's Program Room, with lots of neat stuff for children to do. (Note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
Do you have an idea for an event? If there is something you want to do or see at MidSouthCon, please let us know! You can either write us at , or make a post in the programming ideas thread on our forums.
